Bolton College employs approximately 550 staff in teaching, learner support and professional services. Staff are based at our campus on Deane Road in Bolton or at one of our community centres located cross the town.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and wellbeing of all learners and staff and we expect all colleagues and volunteers to share this commitment. In support of this the College follows the guidance linked to safer recruitment as set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education. To work at our College you will be required to undertake a DBS check along with a range of other pre-recruitment checks. It is an offence to apply for a regulated role at the College if you are barred from working with children (or vulnerable adults if in a role where this applies).

We are proud of our inclusive learning and working environment; the College holds the Rainbow Flag Award and is an accredited Disability Confident Employer and our recruitment processes support these commitments. As an employer we also recognise that staff may at times need support and we are proud to also sign up to the Menopause Pledge and the Association of Colleges Wellbeing Charter.
