Assistant Principal

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Principal to work in partnership with other Assistant Principals and members of the Executive team to ensure College targets are met and with the Chief Officer: Quality, Learners & Skills will provide strategic and operational curriculum development leadership by working effectively with curriculum and business managers.

You will provide strategic and operational leadership for learner attendance, behaviour, engagement and positive learner culture through the direct line management of the Positive Engagement Officer(s).

Ideally, you will:

  • Have proven and up to date experience of leading and developing provision across a range of funding streams.
  • Have experience in supporting other staff to develop new business opportunities leading to additional engagement.
  • Have experience of planning, sourcing and delivering impactful staff development to improve student outcomes and ensure workforce development.
  • An aptitude for pragmatic solutions to complex issues.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong leadership experience in FE, HE, or industry
  • Proven experience in raising levels of student retention, achievement and success.
  • Experience of managing and developing curriculum delivery, excellent communication skills and knowledge and a discipline in one of the curriculum areas you will be leading
