Work Placement Officer

We are thrilled to announce an opportunity to join our exceptional Business Development Team as a Work Placement Officer.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, solution-focused, and student-oriented, thriving in a dynamic, fast paced role within a busy team. While experience is important, enthusiasm, initiative, and emotional intelligence are equally valued.

Ideally, you will:

  • Have experience of working in an educational environment
  • Have experience of liaising with employers
  • Have digital skills to navigate our online work experience platform
  • Demonstrate the ability to use your initiative, focus on delivering effective and creative solutions, and challenge yourself and others.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Meet with students to discuss their career goals and placement preferences.
  • Provide guidance on CV writing, cover letters, and interview techniques.
  • Provide ongoing support to students during their placements, addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Conduct follow-up meetings to gather feedback from students and employers.
  • Contact potential employers to establish partnerships and secure placement opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with existing employer partners.
  • Update and maintain a database of student placements and employer contacts.
  • Prepare reports on placement statistics and outcomes.
  • Ensure all placements comply with college policies and relevant regulations.
  • Handle necessary documentation and agreements between students, employers, and the college.
